Mother's Day 2010

All my kids came to church with us for Mother's Day and to hear Julia's first talk in Sacrament meeting. Daddy fixed a nice dinner and a super scrumptious dessert.

Julia's First Talk in Sacrament

Julia gave her first talk in Sacrament meeting today. She was asked to speak on developing her divine nature. She did an awesome job! I am so proud of the young woman she is becoming. She is so beautiful both inside and out!!!

Piano/Voice Recital 2010

Julia and Rachel arrived early to practice their
songs and to warm up their voices...

Rachel and Julia with their teacher Kristen Kroes.
David sat quietly through most of the hour long recital with the promise that there would be cookies at the end. As soon as we stood up he was asking, "Can we get cookies now?!"
Rachel was allergic to all the cookies but was happy to drink pink punch.

Rachel singing/playing "Lavender's Blue" (I only got the
last third of it, then singing "In The Leafy Treetops".

Rachel playing "All Together/Alouette Medley"
and then "Ode to Joy" Love her little curtsie at
the end!

Julia singing/playing Red River Valley

Julia playing "Young Prince and Princess From Scheherazade"

Strawberries for Dessert

While I was outside tonight watering my parched plants I noticed that a lot of the strawberries were getting ripe! Rachel got David a bowl and he picked himself a fresh bowl of strawberries for dessert!

Telling me I need to wash them so he can eat them now.

David likes to eat his strawberries with the tops cut
off but left whole and always with a fork.
He was very stingy with sharing "his" bowl of strawberries; I was able to sneak a few while I washed them but Jared was only able to talk him out of one.

Brandon & Little Sisters

Our oldest son Brandon came over last Thursday to service our pool and I took a picture of him with his little sisters Julia and Rachel. Pretty soon he will have his own little baby girl...I'm so excited for little Zoe to be here...August seems forever away!

My Sleeping Beauties

David and Julia morning snuggles trying to wake up.

David waking Julia up with kisses

Daddy told David to go up to bed and he would be up "in a minute" to snuggle with him...about 10 minutes later this is what Daddy found on the stairs.

As you can see, David is still working on the whole
frontwards/backwards thing with his undies.

Rachel Playing Ballerina

I'm an X!

David was showing me his front roll in the living room when he layed on his tummy spread eagle and shouted, "Mommy, I'm an X!" We've been working on David learning the alphabet and sounds of each letter so I guess he had letters on his mind even while doing his "exercise".

Mather Ward Dessert/Service Auction

I forgot to post these pictures of the Service/Dessert Auction at church last month. We were able to get a strawberry shortcake for dessert and won the Bishop's famous cinnamon rolls delivered to us Conference Sunday. Next year our strategy is to save our "money" for the end when things like a RV that sleeps 10 was auctioned off and won for $700 for a weekend...that's when we regretted paying $900 for the strawberry short cake but it was one of the only desserts our kids were not allergic to!

Easter 2010

Easter was cold and rainy this year but it was fun to watch conference, get homemade cinnamon rolls from the Bishop, have an egg hunt in the house and have dinner with all of my children together and my Mom. I so look forward to little Zoe in an Easter dress next year! What fun!

Rachel earned money doing chores and school work and bought herself a pretty dress at Costco. She was in little girl heaven and felt so pretty at church a week ago Sunday. Rachel is so excited about little Zoe being a girl and I have to admit I look forward to all the sweet adorableness little girls bring into our lives!

Showing me how "twirly" her dress is.

So Adorably Sweet When Asleep

Is there anything cuter than a sleeping baby boy; especially one with his undies on backwards? David is still working on that one.
I love his long eyelashes...
This is my all time favorite of David sleeping when he was just a week old.

Rachel Sugar

I don't usually post pictures of myself especially ones taken first thing in the morning with out taking a shower but this moment was worth remembering.
Rachel climbed up behind me on the office chair as I was working on cannery stuff and uploading video of her telling Jared and Julia that Cami's baby was a girl when she hugged me from behind and put her soft cheek against mine and said, "Pretty soon Cami is going to be feeling just what you feel" and I said, "What's that?" Rachel replied, "Just how much her little girl loves her!" It really doesn't get any sweeter than that!!!

It's a GIRL!

Last Wednesday night I went with my son, Brandon, his wife Cami and Cami's Mom, Terri to the ultra-sound for Cami's pregnancy...the most exciting part was hearing that the baby is a GIRL! When I saw that picture of the baby's hand, it brought tears to my eyes because I could "see" how that little hand would one day lay against my son's cheek as little Zoe loved on her Daddy. Cami is just 18 weeks and the baby weighs about 8 oz.! She was so active during the ultra-sound; we saw her yawn and move her little arms and legs around. We joked that she "took after her Daddy" because she stubbornly would not move so that they could get a good picture of the spine. Cami ended up having to go back the next morning to finish the ultra sound. August 23rd seems like forever away!!! These videos are of Rachel telling Sheldon and then later Jared and Julia that the baby is a GIRL! Julia definitely won the prize for most excited!

New Old Favorite Dolly

Last Saturday we washed one of Rachel's very first dollies...she was so happy to see her sweet little "baby" so clean and pretty again.

Bread Heaven

Last Thursday while Julia and I were sitting outside in the back yard talking, Rachel came out eating the homemade wheat bread that Jamie had made us. She was telling me, "Mom, this bread is soooo delicious! MMMMMMMM" By the last picture she had gone to fresh homebaked bread heaven.
